Open Call for Curators at Gallery 788
Proposals for shows should include:
- Clearly presented name and contact information
- A curatorial statement that highlights the exhibition and the idea or ideas it intends to communicate
- A list of Artists to be included along with examples of work on Word Doc or Power Point, condensed to no larger than 10 MB
- Information must be sent electronically to: firstname.lastname@example.org
Chosen curators will be notified by email. Curators will be responsible for coordination, installation, de-installation, pick-up of artwork and any needed resurfacing of walls with the assistance of Gallery 788 staff. Artists with special installation needs will also need to be on-hand for installation.

Call for Papers: "Rethinking Intellectual Activism," First Annual Language, Literacy and Culture Graduate Student Conference at UMBC
From the Organizing Committee: "We are seeking submissions of full panel discussions, roundtable discussions, individual papers, performative works, or art installations for our conference, which is titled “Rethinking Intellectual Activism.” This is an excellent opportunity for graduate students to share their work with their peers and network with a diverse body of scholars and activists. We look forward to a day of inspiring dialogues that engage graduate students from all social sciences and humanities inter/disciplines and activists working to bring social justice on various political fronts."
"Rethinking Intellectual Activism" will take place Saturday, April 12, 2014 at UMBC.
