The MICA "ArtMarket: Special Edition" will be held in the Brown Center Atrium with fine crafts and art by MICA students, staff, alums and faculty. The Meyerhoff and Decker Galleries will exhibit the Sondheim Prize Semi-Finalists, “Field Work” exhibition will be in the Pinkard Gallery and the FRED student artist award will be in the Falvey Lower Lobby. Falvey Hall will have a full schedule of varied music performances Friday through Sunday.
We will be surrounded by crafts and non-profit organization booths, at the south end of campus the Main Stage will once again be in the Mount Royal Station Lot and the north end will host the Morgan State University Sound Off Live! Stage beside the Bunting Center as well as a food and beverage court at Mt. Royal/ Lafayette St. with everything from the semi-healthy (wraps and such) to our favorite bad-for-you festival food (bloomin’ onions and other various fried foods). Once again, all the food vendors are from Maryland. Check out all the acts and features of this 2017 Artscape at artscape.org.

Grad Lab is ERASING Contents of Computers (save your stuff before July 31)
Please be aware that ALL COMPUTERS IN THE GRAD LAB WILL HAVE THEIR CONTENTS ERASED on Monday July 31st.
The only exception to this is the Grad Lab Drobo. If you are a returning student the Drobo wil not have any of your data removed from it at this time. However, all May 2017 graduates will have their data removed from the Drobo on July 31st.
This is part of our yearly maintenance routine to insure the proper operation of our machines.
Please make sure to remove and or backup any and all of your data before Sunday July 30th at 12 midnight.

Please join MICA's MA in Art Education program in the Lazarus Auditorium on Friday, July 29th for the 2017 MAAE Thesis Talks! This event is open to the public, so please feel free to bring colleagues and friends. You are welcome to attend all of the Talks, or just drop in as your schedule allows. The Thesis Talks will be followed an exhibition reception in the galleries from 5:00 - 7:00.
For the MAAE Thesis Talks, each member of the 2017 graduating class will give a 20-minute talk highlighting their discoveries as artist-teacher-researchers during the past year, as they worked in schools and studios across the US and around the globe. Presentations will be as follows:

Graduate Research Fellowships with North Avenue Knowledge Exchange
The Graduate Research Fellow will work closely with the Knowledge Exchange Program Coordinator and will serve as a primary support for managing the Knowledge Exchange program logistics, including workshop scheduling, documentation and evaluation.
Candidates for the Knowledge Exchange Graduate Research Fellowship Position should have some experience and/or interest in planning and coordinating public programming, and experience working within diverse communities. A history of active involvement in Baltimore City’s Station North, Greenmount West, and Penn-North districts and neighborhoods is a plus. This position involves a large amount of research, archiving and logistics coordination, so attention to detail and good organizational skills are a must.
