Hoffberger Class of 2015 Show On View in New York
Steven Harvey Fine Art Projects presents a group exhibition of paintings by Henry Taylor, Erin High, Lauren Jefferson, Minsol Kim, Stephen Alexander Clark, Thomas Dahlberg, Jinie Park and Michael Evans. The exhibition includes paintings made while the group of artists were in graduate school together in Maryland Institute College of Art’s Leroy E. Hoffberger School of Painting.
Also on view is a painting by Henry Taylor, visiting artist and mentor to students at the Hoffberger School. While this group of painters diverges in approach, they are united through an investigation into painting’s continued resilience and temporality. Representation, abstraction and hybridity hold equal weight in these varied mediations whose hermetic journey from pedagogical space to gallery space culminates with this exhibition.
