BmoreArt Re-Model PD Speaker Series
I wanted to put this event on your radar for Thursday, March 29! BmoreArt is hosting Heather Darcy Bhandari, a NY-based curator and author of ART/WORK (the best artist PD book that exists in my opinion) and Amy Eva Raehse, executive director and curator of Goya Contemporary.
We will be discussing 'Ethics and the Art Gallery' and I know that these two women bring a wealth of information valuable to artists at all stages of their careers and also to collectors.
Please share with your students, networks, and colleagues! This should be good.
It's free but seating is limited, so please ask ppl to RSVP!
Thanks for your help and support! Please share!
VISITING ARTIST LECTURE SERIES
Lloyd Wise | 03.20.18
10:00a - 11:30
Lazarus Auditorium (L 115)
Today, digital artifacts infiltrate painting like never before. But when an artist paints a pixel, a drop shadow, or a filter, what are the stakes? What is the pictorial space such paintings describe—and what are its limits?
Evelyn Hankins | 03.20.18
Lazarus Auditorium (L 115)
Evelyn C. Hankins has been a curator at the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden since 2007. While at the Hirshhorn, she has also organized an array of projects, including Mark Bradford: Pickett’s Charge (2017); Robert Irwin: All the Rules Will Change (2016); Susan Philipsz: Part File Score (2016); At the Hub of Things: New Views of the Collection (2014) (co-curated); Jennie C.
