Tasks: Stretcher and panel building, framing, woodworking, sculpture fabrication, general construction. Tools: Table saw, drill press, miter saw, band saws, panel saw, sanders, and many power hand tools. You must check in with the Shop Tech on duty before using the power tools. Tasks: Fabrication projects including basic binding, letterpress proof printing, and a variety of paper cutting methods. This studio provides a work space for processes not appropriate for a computer lab or print center, but is also clean enough to work with paper effectively. Tools: WireMac wire binder, paper guillotine, Vandercook proof press, light table, screw punch, and linoleum cutters, circle cutter, 1" and 2¼" button makers. Second Floor: The digital print lab provides wide-format, pigment-based archival quality printing services on a number of state-of-the-art printers and an ultra-wide format textile printer.
